2. Optional website analytics

We use PostHog, hosted through https://eu.i.posthog.com, only after you choose “Allow analytics”. We record page views, the page and placement of selected links, requests for platforms with no published download, and clicks on available GitHub download links. We record platform, package format and release version. We do not send email addresses, form content, query strings or session recordings to PostHog. We disable automatic click/form capture and persistent analytics storage in our configuration.

Purpose and legal basis: understanding interest in ShootSift platforms and improving the website; GDPR Article 6(1)(a), your optional consent. Refusing analytics does not prevent downloads or inquiries. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect processing performed before withdrawal. PostHog's separate infrastructure may process technical connection data as described in its own documentation.

Retention: analytics events are kept according to the PostHog project's configured retention setting, which the operator must verify and document before launch. Our browser integration does not persist an analytics identity between visits.

3. Early-access inquiries

When you choose to send an inquiry, we process the email address and optional message you enter. We use them solely to read and reply to your request; this form does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list. We send the inquiry through Resend as our transactional email service. Contact details are not used for analytics and are not published.

Legal basis: GDPR Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interest in replying to a request the visitor initiated, subject to a balancing assessment by the operator. Messages should be reviewed and deleted when no longer needed; a proposed 12-month maximum after the last relevant contact requires confirmation by the operator before launch. Resend may process message and delivery metadata for operational purposes.

4. Hosting, anti-spam and external downloads

Cloudflare Pages serves the site and handles security-related technical requests. Cloudflare Turnstile is loaded when you interact with the inquiry form and checks for abuse before an email can be sent. This processing is not part of optional PostHog analytics. The operator must verify the applicable Cloudflare privacy terms, lawful basis and data processing arrangement before launch.

Downloads and “All versions” link to GitHub, where GitHub's own privacy terms apply. A recorded download click indicates interest in a file, not proof that the download finished. The desktop application itself is not instrumented by this website analytics code.

5. Your rights and international transfers

Depending on the legal basis and circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal data; withdraw analytics consent; and complain to the competent data protection authority. The operator must review provider contracts, processing locations, international transfers and safeguards before activating the public service.
